The City of Martin
has adopted Twitter to supplement the outdoor warning system. Twitter
will be used to send emergency warning messages to all that sign up
to receive messages from the City of Martin. It is the intent of the
City of Martin to send emergency notices on these occasions:
1. Tornado Warning for Martin
2. Tornado sighting in an area adjacent to Martin
3. Missing Child alerts
4. Missing Adult alerts
5. Winter Warning
6. Evacuation
7. Shelter Notification
8. Earthquake
We would anticipate that between 10 and 15 alerts would be sent out each
year but that could vary depending on the weather. You can choose to
receive twitter updates via text message on your cell phone please be
